A Japanese Deba Knife is similar to a heavy western style chef’s knife. It is ideal for boning poultry, fish, and meats. As a heavier knife it cuts through things such as vegetables or fish skin without the chef having to apply as much pressure as with lighter knives. A Deba knife can also be used as a light to medium duty cleaver. This deba knife works great for cutting through fish bones.
The knife is made to be used right handed.
