Yanagi sushi knives are similar to a western utility knife. You would use this for a multitude of tasks and for straight and biased-cut sushi and sashimi. The holes keep things like fish from sticking to the blade so it makes an excellent sashimi knife.
This knife is made to be used right-handed.
